Code execution through UDF loading in MariaDB Server 10.5.0 allows remote authenticated users to run a supplied shared library. CREATE FUNCTION loads code only from plugin_dir and requires INSERT on the mysql database, so the user must first place the library there. MariaDB Foundation disputes the vulnerability because the described operation crosses no new privilege boundary.
