Stored script execution via unsanitized firstname
Published May 12, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in SourceCodester File Tracker Manager System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to inject script through firstname. The save_user.php handler stores the firstname POST value without effective output neutralization, and admin_user.php renders it as executable markup. An authenticated account can plant the value, but execution requires another user to visit the user-administration page, exposing that visitor's browser context to script actions.
