Browser script execution via reflected ident parameter
Published Mar 30, 2023 · Updated Feb 18, 2025
Reflected XSS in ZCBS, ZPBS, and ZBBS 4.14k allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser through a crafted URL. The objecten.pl CGI endpoint reflects the ident query-string value into its response without neutralizing HTML, allowing an injected event handler to execute. Exploitation is unauthenticated but requires a user to follow the crafted link; script runs in the affected site's browser context and can read or alter accessible page data.
