Application crash via recursive page-label object loop

Uncontrolled recursion in Xpdf 4.04 and earlier allows local users to crash the application via a crafted PDF page-label tree. While resolving page labels, the parser follows a cyclic PDF object reference without detecting the loop, recursing until its stack overflows. The file must be processed locally; the documented consequence is a process crash with no reported data disclosure or modification.
