Floating-point exception in SoX 14.4.3 allows local users to crash the process by converting a crafted audio file to AIFF. The AIFF reader accepts an implausibly large channel count, and lsx_aiffstartwrite uses it in output-header arithmetic that reaches a zero divisor. The user must invoke SoX on the crafted file; the demonstrated consequence is termination of that process, not a system-wide outage.
