Arbitrary file read and write via path traversal
Published Jul 12, 2023 · Updated Nov 7, 2024
Path traversal in Syncfusion EJ2 ASPCore File Provider 3ac357f allows remote attackers to read or write server-accessible files. PhysicalFileProvider.cs combines untrusted file-operation paths with the configured content root without verifying that the resolved path remains beneath it. No authentication is required; crafted traversal paths can list or download readable files and upload files wherever the web server account can write.
