Unauthenticated file read, upload, and deletion via traversal
Published Jul 12, 2023 · Updated Nov 7, 2024
Path traversal in Syncfusion EJ2 Node File Provider 0102271 allows remote attackers to read, upload, and delete server files. The Download endpoint in filesystem-server.js concatenates contentRootPath with attacker-controlled path and name fields without consistently rejecting traversal sequences. No authentication or user interaction is required, and reachable files are limited only by the web server process's filesystem permissions on Windows or Linux.
