Unauthenticated system takeover via hard-coded admin password
Published Mar 14, 2023 · Updated Feb 27, 2025
Hard-coded credentials in Propius MachineSelector 6.6.0 and 6.6.1 allow remote attackers to access its web admin panel. The exposed Propiusadmin.php endpoint accepts a fixed administrative password embedded in the affected releases instead of requiring a deployment-specific secret. No prior account or user interaction is required; knowledge of the hard-coded password grants full control of the affected system.
