Draft disclosure via missing contributor authorization
Published Mar 5, 2023 · Updated Mar 6, 2025
Missing authorization in Ghost 5.35.0 allows remote authenticated users with contributor access to read unpublished drafts created by other users. The draft-post access-control path does not restrict contributor reads to posts they own, exposing unpublished content from other authors. Exploitation requires an authenticated contributor and user interaction; the vendor disputes that this behavior has security impact.
