CVE-2023-26509Network attack vector

Unauthenticated service interruption via UDP amplification

Published Jul 3, 2023 · Updated Nov 27, 2024

Resource amplification in AnyDesk 7.0.8 allows remote attackers to interrupt third-party services via spoofed UDP discovery requests. The discovery service on UDP port 50001 emits responses about 33 times larger than the triggering request, enabling reflected traffic. No authentication or user interaction is required; multicast delivery to multiple AnyDesk clients further increases amplification against a chosen victim.
