Service interruption via quadratic object identifier conversion

Algorithmic complexity in affected OpenSSL releases allows remote attackers to interrupt services via oversized ASN.1 object identifiers. OBJ_obj2txt converts an unbounded, attacker-controlled sub-identifier to decimal text with quadratic time complexity. Exposure requires direct processing of untrusted data or an affected subsystem without a message-size limit; TLS chiefly exposes clients and servers using client authentication.
