Unauthenticated baseband code execution via unchecked SDP length
Published Mar 23, 2023 · Updated Feb 25, 2025
Memory corruption in Samsung Exynos baseband modems allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted SDP fmtp attribute. The SDP parser uses an unchecked fmtp parameter length while writing the attribute into modem memory, causing an out-of-bounds write. Exploitation requires only the victim's phone number and no user interaction, allowing silent compromise at the baseband level.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
