Code execution via freed object reuse
Published Apr 10, 2023 · Updated Feb 11, 2025
Use-after-free in Open Design Alliance Drawings SDK before 2024.1 allows attackers to execute code through a crafted DWG file. The DWG parser reuses an object after its memory has been freed, causing operations to act on an invalid object. Exploitation requires an application to read the malicious file, and arbitrary code execution requires chaining the flaw with another vulnerability.
