Cross-site scripting in Vega before 5.23.0 allows remote attackers to execute browser-context JavaScript through a crafted visualization. The lassoAppend expression function accepts a non-array first argument and calls its attacker-supplied push property with coordinate values. A victim must render and interact with the crafted specification; resulting code runs with the embedding page's browser privileges.
