CVE-2023-2647Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated command execution via crafted attachment filename

Published May 11, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Command injection in Weaver e-office 9.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through a crafted attachment filename. The doc2txt() function passes a user-controlled attachment path to exec() without neutralizing && command separators. Exploitation requires an ordinary user to upload a maliciously named attachment and request global_search.php, after which commands run with the web service's privileges.
