Unauthenticated code execution via poisoned log inclusion
Published Aug 17, 2023 · Updated Oct 8, 2024
Path traversal in Jorani 1.0.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary server-side code without authentication. The language-selection path accepts traversal sequences in the lang parameter and includes a poisoned Apache log containing attacker-supplied PHP code. Exploitation also requires spoofed headers to bypass redirection and an unsanitized User-Agent value to reach the log-inclusion path.
