CVE-2023-26430Network attack vector

SIEVE rule manipulation via control-character injection

Published Aug 2, 2023 · Updated Oct 15, 2024

Command injection in OX App Suite backend 7.10.6-rev42 and 8.10 allows remote authenticated users to alter SIEVE filter behavior. The mail-filter APIs forward control characters in SIEVE rule input to subsystems without sanitization. A user account is required; injected rules can enable disallowed SIEVE extensions or halt that user's filter processing until manual cleanup.
