Code execution via Annotation object out-of-bounds read
Published Apr 12, 2023 · Updated Mar 5, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Adobe Acrobat Reader 23.001.20093 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted PDF. JavaScript actions in an Annotation object trigger a read past the end of the object's allocated memory. The Continuous and Classic 2020 tracks are affected through 23.001.20093 and 20.005.30441, respectively, and exploitation requires the victim to open the file.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
