Code execution via use-after-free in USD parser
Published Apr 13, 2023 · Updated Mar 5, 2025
Use-after-free in Adobe Substance 3D Designer 12.4.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code through a malicious USD file. During USD parsing, crafted file data causes the application to access an object after its memory has been freed. A victim must open the file, after which attacker-controlled code runs with the current user's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
