Code execution via unchecked USDA data length
Published Apr 13, 2023 · Updated Mar 5, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Adobe Substance 3D Designer 12.4.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted USDA file. The USDA parser copies user-supplied data into a fixed-length stack buffer without first validating its length. A victim must open the file, after which code runs with the privileges of the current Designer process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
