API key disclosure via unmasked configuration field
Published May 16, 2023 · Updated Jan 22, 2025
Credential exposure in Jenkins Code Dx Plugin 3.1.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to capture API keys from job configuration. The job configuration form renders the saved Code Dx server API key without masking it, exposing the credential to anyone able to view that form. Exploitation requires authenticated access to a configured job and discloses the API key without altering data or interrupting service.
