Code execution via unfiltered path characters

Published Aug 28, 2024 · Updated Mar 25, 2025

Path traversal in Xiaomi File Manager 1-210567 and earlier allows physically proximate attackers to overwrite files and execute code. The application's file-handling logic accepts unfiltered special characters in a supplied path, allowing file operations to escape the intended location.
