CVE-2023-26320

Code execution via unfiltered external-interface responses

Published Oct 11, 2023 · Updated Oct 8, 2024

Stack overflow in Xiaomi Router firmware before 2023.2 allows adjacent-network attackers to execute code through an external interface. The router's external-request handler inadequately filters responses before processing them, allowing crafted response data to overflow a stack buffer. Exploitation requires control of the ISP or an upstream router to supply the response and can crash the device or execute code with full device control.
