API key disclosure via plaintext job configuration
Published May 16, 2023 · Updated Jan 22, 2025
Credential exposure in Jenkins Code Dx Plugin 3.1.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read Code Dx server API keys. The plugin serializes the API key directly into each affected job's config.xml without encryption or credential indirection. Item/Extended Read permission exposes the value remotely, while controller filesystem access exposes the same secret locally.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
