Reflected XSS via unneutralized reset-request input
Published Mar 29, 2023 · Updated Feb 12, 2025
Reflected XSS in Forcepoint Cloud Security Gateway before 03/29/2023 allows remote attackers to execute script via a crafted reset link. The login_reset_request.mhtml module returns request-controlled reset data in portal HTML without neutralization that prevents script interpretation. A victim must follow the crafted link; the script then runs in the portal origin and can read or alter data accessible to that browser session.
