CVE-2023-2629Public exploit

Spreadsheet code execution via unescaped CSV fields

Published May 10, 2023 · Updated Jan 27, 2025

CSV formula injection in Pimcore Customer Management Framework before 3.3.9 allows attackers to execute formulas via exported customer data. AbstractExporter::getExportData writes customer columns and segment identifiers without applying Service::escapeCsvRecord, allowing formula prefixes to remain active. Exploitation requires a user to open the export in a spreadsheet, where application security controls bound code execution and data exfiltration.
