CVE-2023-26289Network attack vector

Authenticated cache poisoning via unvalidated Host header

Published Jul 30, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

HTTP header injection in IBM Aspera Orchestrator 4.0.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to poison responses via Host headers. The HTTP header-handling code fails to validate attacker-controlled Host header input before processing it. A valid low-privilege account and network access are required; successful abuse can alter cached content or hijack sessions, but does not interrupt service.
