Unauthorized dashboard modification via identity-unchecked PUT
Published Nov 25, 2024 · Updated Nov 25, 2024
Improper access control in IBM Jazz Foundation 7.0.2 and 7.0.3 allows remote attackers to alter readable dashboards via HTTP PUT requests. The dashboard PUT handler fails to verify the requester's identity before applying updates to any dashboard the requester can read. A dashboard must be readable to the requester; successful exploitation changes its content without granting broader server control.
