CVE-2023-2625

Authenticated command execution via web field injection

Published Jun 28, 2023 · Updated Dec 4, 2024

OS command injection in Hitachi Energy TXpert Hub CoreTec 4 2.0.* through 2.4.* allows remote authenticated users to execute shell commands. A particular web interface field passes attacker-supplied text to the operating system for shell execution without neutralizing command syntax. Exploitation requires VIEWER-to-ADMIN access from the same network segment and grants command execution on the monitoring appliance.
