Administrator browser script execution via unescaped filterType
Published Jun 27, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Reflected XSS in KiviCare before 3.2.1 allows remote attackers to run script in an administrator's browser via a crafted AJAX URL. The get_weekly_appointment route returns the filterType parameter in its response without sanitizing or escaping it for HTML output. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to open the crafted URL, after which script executes with that browser session's access.
