Advanced Protection bypass via registry key
Published Oct 5, 2023 · Updated Sep 19, 2024
Advanced Protection bypass in WatchGuard endpoint products before 8.00.22.0010 allows local users to run unclassified binaries. A SYSTEM-level registry change bypasses Advanced Protection's classification gate, letting an unclassified executable run. Exploitation requires local SYSTEM privileges and disables preventive classification for the binary rather than granting additional privilege.
