CVE-2023-2622Network attack vector

Arbitrary file read via unchecked RPC authorization

Published Nov 1, 2023 · Updated Feb 27, 2025

Exposure of files in Hitachi Energy MACH System Software 7.10.0.0 through 7.18.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary files. The InspectSetup service endpoint's RPC file-read operation fails to enforce each client's file authorization on the MAIN Computer system. An authenticated low-privilege client can retrieve files outside its authorized scope; no write or service-interruption impact is reported.
