CVE-2023-26216Network attack vector

Authenticated code execution via web-accessible file upload

Published May 25, 2023 · Updated Jan 16, 2025

Arbitrary file write in TIBCO EBX Add-ons 4.5.16 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute code through uploaded files. The server component accepts an uploaded file into a web-accessible directory, where the web server evaluates it, but TIBCO has not disclosed the flawed upload-validation locus. Application Administrator privileges and network access are required, and successful exploitation runs actions with the web server's privileges.
