Service interruption via unchecked dashboard refresh interval
Published Sep 14, 2023 · Updated Sep 25, 2024
Denial of service in Sidekiq Web before 6.5.10 and 7.0 through 7.1.2 allows context-dependent attackers to trigger excessive polling. The RealtimeChart constructor parses localStorage.sidekiqTimeInterval and, in affected releases, starts polling without enforcing a minimum delay. Exploitation requires control of browser storage for a Sidekiq Web session and can burden the web endpoint with repeated requests.
