Arbitrary command execution via unvalidated commit string

Command injection in git-commit-info before 2.0.2 allows attackers to execute shell commands through a crafted commit value. The exported gitCommitInfo() function passes the unvalidated commit string into a command that invokes Git, allowing shell operators instead of limiting input to a commit hash. Exploitation requires a consuming application to pass attacker-controlled commit content; injected commands run with that application's privileges.
