CVE-2023-26110Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Memory corruption via unchecked Bluetooth address length

Published Mar 9, 2023 · Updated Feb 28, 2025

Buffer overflow in Lsong node-bluetooth 1.2.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to corrupt memory through findSerialPortChannel. The method accepts an overlong Bluetooth-address string without checking its length, overflowing the native buffer used to process the address. Reachability requires a consuming application to pass attacker-controlled address data into the method, and corruption is confined to that application's process.
