Browser script execution via unsanitized endpoint input
Published Apr 21, 2023 · Updated Feb 5, 2025
Reflected XSS in Progress Flowmon before 12.2.0 allows remote attackers to execute script in a Flowmon user's browser through a crafted request. An unnamed application endpoint reflects user-supplied input into its response without sanitizing it, and Progress has not identified the endpoint. Exploitation requires a Flowmon user to load the crafted request; the resulting script runs with that user's web-session privileges.
