CVE-2023-26063

Unauthenticated code execution via PostScript NAME type confusion

Published Apr 10, 2023 · Updated Feb 11, 2025

Type confusion in Lexmark device PostScript interpreters allows network-adjacent attackers to execute arbitrary code without authentication. The pagemaker service parses a crafted NAME element without validating its user-supplied data type, causing incompatible-type access. Exposure requires network adjacency and crafted input to the pagemaker service, after which code runs in the service account context.
