File disclosure and SSRF via XXE parsing
Published Apr 25, 2023 · Updated Feb 4, 2025
XXE in Nokia NetAct before 22 FP2211 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary files and issue server-side requests. The Configuration Dashboard XML import passes attacker-controlled documents to a parser with external-entity resolution enabled and lacks proper input validation. Exploitation requires an internal authenticated session and dynamically generated Jsession-id, CSRF, and Nxsrf tokens; impact is limited to file disclosure and SSRF.
