Dependency verification bypass in Gradle Build Tool allows attackers to substitute malicious dependencies via PGP key-ID collisions. In 6.2 through 6.9.3 and 7.0.0 through 7.6.0, dependency verification metadata accepts 64-bit identifiers in trusted-key or pgp elements instead of requiring full fingerprints. Exploitation requires a configured long PGP key ID and attacker influence over dependency delivery, enabling untrusted build code to run.
