HTML injection via unescaped search keyword
Published Feb 27, 2023 · Updated Mar 10, 2025
Cross-site scripting in Part-DB before 1.0.2 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary HTML through unescaped user input. The parts search template inserts the keyword into a translated heading without Twig escaping, and the advisory reports similar failures elsewhere. A victim must open an attacker-supplied Part-DB link; the CSP blocks script execution unless another flaw is chained, limiting this issue alone to HTML injection.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
