Authenticated SQL injection via unsanitized filter attribute
Published Feb 25, 2023 · Updated Mar 10, 2025
SQL injection in ZoneMinder before 1.36.33 and 1.37.0 through 1.37.32 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary SQL. The events request passes the user-controlled filter attribute through Filter::sql(), and web/ajax/events.php concatenates the result into a WHERE clause without neutralizing SQL syntax. Events View or Edit permission is required; successful queries can read or modify database data and bypass application authentication or authorization.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
