CVE-2023-25954

Malicious file execution via untrusted Android intents

Published Apr 13, 2023 · Updated Feb 7, 2025

Improper intent handling in KYOCERA, UTAX/TA, and Olivetti Mobile Print through 3.2.0.230119 allows attackers to download files. The application class accepts data from a malicious third-party app and passes it to the built-in browser, which accesses attacker-chosen sites and downloads content without notification. A malicious app must already be installed and user interaction is required; downloaded files or apps can execute and expose internal device information.
