Unauthorized clinician-app control via default password reset

Improper authentication in Medtronic Micro Clinician before A51200 and InterStim X Clinician before A51300 allows attackers to control therapy apps. Under certain reset conditions, the apps replace the clinician's custom password with a default password. Physical access to the Smart Programmer is required, and control remains limited to therapy parameters already established on the programmer.
