Database extraction via unescaped sortOrder SQL parameter
Published Jun 27, 2023 · Updated Nov 27, 2024
SQL injection in Subtle Web Inc FormCraft 3.8.2 through 3.9.6 allows remote authenticated users to extract database data. The settings request inserts the attacker-controlled sortOrder parameter into an SQL statement without sanitization or escaping. Administrator privileges are required, and crafted sort expressions can append queries or invoke database functions, including a time-delay payload.
