Path traversal in Danfoss AK-SM 800A before 3.3 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary server files through XML requests. The get_file action in the sm_app CGI handler accepts ../ sequences in the filename parameter and returns the targeted file through /xml.cgi. The current CVE record requires authenticated XML access, while the original researcher reported no authentication; exposed files can include password hashes.
