Elevated code execution via embedded database functions
Published Jun 13, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Code injection in affected Siemens SIMATIC PCS 7, S7-PM, and STEP 7 V5 releases allows remote attackers to execute elevated server code. The database management system permits remote invocation of embedded functions located locally or on a network share and executes them in the server context. Network access to port 2638/tcp reaches the affected releases; successful execution gains elevated privileges on the database server.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
