Code execution via embedded font buffer overwrite
Published Mar 22, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Adobe Illustrator 26.5.2 and earlier and 27.2.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code via a malicious file. The embedded-font parser accepts crafted font data that writes past the end of an allocated buffer. Exploitation requires a victim to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file, and successful code runs with the privileges of the current Illustrator process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
