Secure-view disclosure via lost reshare attributes
Published Feb 24, 2023 · Updated Mar 10, 2025
Improper access control in Nextcloud Server 24.0.4 through 24.0.6 and 25.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to download secure-view files. ShareAPIController loads a reshared node from the owner rather than the share initiator, so restrictive share attributes are not propagated. The gate is an existing reshare permission and interaction with the resulting share; the consequence is unauthorized retrieval of protected file contents.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
