Unauthenticated file disclosure via configuration filename traversal
Published Mar 13, 2023 · Updated Feb 25, 2025
Path traversal in Roxy-WI before 6.3.6.0 allows remote attackers to read server files through a crafted configuration filename. The configuration-file handler resolves attacker-controlled config_file_name values containing dir/../filename without restricting the result to the intended configuration directory. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the demonstrated consequence is disclosure of files readable by the service.
